I am very excited to be your child’s preschool teacher. I have grown up and lived in the Monroeville area my whole life. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Studies from Western Governors University and an Associate's in Early Childhood Education from Ivy Tech College. I have been in the field of early education for over 30 years and this will be my second year teaching at St. Rose of Lima.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time with family and gardening. I have been married to her husband Bill since 2014. We have two dogs, Congac and Glory.
Preschool Classroom Environment
It is my goal to provide a learning environment that is developmentally appropriate, helping to build a solid foundation for future success in school and life. I believe it is important for children to feel safe and secure so they may explore and learn in the classroom environment.
In the classroom, the children have many opportunities for hands-on experiences that will foster their spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical development. It is important to me to work with families to help create a love of learning in a Christ centered environment.
